At the age of 85, I realised I must give back to my village. Raja Sir's dedication to social service inspired me deeply. Together, we began the transformation of Kayamozhi.
This journey reflects Ami Care Foundation's unwavering commitment to social welfare, cultural preservation, and sustainable village development.
We celebrate with our workers during their festivals — Holi, Women's Day — because encouragement and kindness are as important as the work itself.
The children's faces lit up when 200 bicycles arrived. For many, it was the first big gift they had ever received. That joy is what keeps us going.
The computer and tailoring training changed what was possible for the women and students of Kayamozhi. Skills open doors that nothing else can.
Ami Care Foundation is a social organisation registered on 13 June 2022 (Registration No. E-37043), headquartered in Dharavi, Mumbai. Founded by Shri Raja Sir, the foundation works across Art, Sport, Education and Health with a simple belief: Save Human & Care Nature.
Whether it is supporting village development, funding a child's education, planting 600 trees a year, or honouring sanitation workers — the foundation meets people where they are, as quickly as possible.
In the same way that many good deeds are carried out on behalf of the organisation, we celebrate with the workers during their festivals to encourage them and think about their feelings. From Holi celebrations in Bhiwandi to Women's Day gatherings in Mahim — community is at the heart of everything we do.
Our entire team wants to see a country where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who'll help them with education, jobs and more. We want to spread out in every region so we'll be reachable to all.
Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they're at as quickly as possible.

Ami Care Foundation has donated ₹3,50,000 to Navin Hospital and provides annual financial assistance to PJ Old Age Home. The foundation also promotes blood donation and organ donation awareness, with founder Raja Sir himself being a registered organ donor and regular blood donor (B+). Health camps and medical aid drives reach underserved communities.
Education is at the core of the foundation's mission. Through the "Ek Haat Maadticha" initiative, ₹7,85,000 was provided for a girl's medical education at St Mary College of Nursing, Tenkasi. The foundation has financially assisted 75+ needy children with school fees, clothes and uniforms. Computer education classes were started in Kayamozhi village to empower the younger generation with digital skills.
The foundation believes in holistic development through sports. 200 bicycles were distributed to economically underdeveloped village children, encouraging active lifestyles. Yoga classes were introduced in Kayamozhi village for both physical and mental health. Sports equipment and facilities are provided to schools and communities across Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
Preserving cultural heritage is integral to the foundation's work. Music and singing classes were introduced in Kayamozhi village to nurture talent and preserve cultural arts. The foundation supported the release of the book GNANAM by author Sarvesh. Festival celebrations — from Holi in Bhiwandi to Women's Day in Mahim — keep community traditions alive.
With over 600 trees planted every year, Ami Care Foundation is deeply committed to environmental conservation. Tree plantation drives are conducted across Maharashtra, bringing communities together for a greener future. The foundation believes that caring for nature is inseparable from caring for people.
Tailoring training programmes in Kayamozhi village help women build self-reliance and create livelihood opportunities. Sanitary pads were provided to girls at Kamaraj High School, Dharavi. Women's Day celebrations honour the contributions of women in the workforce. The foundation actively works to create equal opportunities for women across all its programmes.
Through participation in the Dhyas Swachhta Abhiyan, the foundation organised cleanliness drives across multiple locations. Garbage was cleaned at many places and sanitation workers and their officers were honoured by founder Raja Sir. The campaign reflects the belief that a clean environment is fundamental to community health and wellbeing.
Through the "Ek Haat Maadticha" initiative, the founder helped 8 homeless families buy their own houses. The foundation believes that safe, stable housing is a fundamental right and continues to identify families in need across its operating regions. A roof overhead is the first step toward dignity and opportunity.

A model of holistic rural development led by Ami Care Foundation
Mr. Vijay Singh, a native of Kayamozhi village and a passionate singer, had been living in Chennai for many years. At the age of 85, he felt a deep realisation that he must contribute something meaningful to his native village.
With this strong sense of responsibility, he made sincere efforts to bring positive change. During this journey, he had heard extensively about Ami Care Foundation and its founder, respected Mr. Raja Sir, whose dedication to social service greatly inspired him.
He visited Kulasai Mutharamman Temple where he met Mr. Raja Sir and presented a detailed development plan for Kayamozhi village. After reviewing the proposal, Mr. Raja Sir extended his full support. From that moment, the development of Kayamozhi village officially began.
The village temple was renovated, preserving religious heritage and strengthening spiritual unity among villagers.
To promote physical and mental health, regular yoga classes were introduced for the villagers.
To empower the younger generation, computer training classes were started, helping students gain essential digital skills.
Women received tailoring training to build self-reliance and create livelihood opportunities within the village.
To nurture talent and preserve cultural arts, singing classes were also introduced in the village.
